All creations are ephemeral.
We are interdisciplinary artists and musicians, and our collection across forms, called Ephemera House, is a very human and joyously un-optimized attempt to acknowledge the past, present, and future of our creative lives in a series of moments.
David James Lynch, who uses Processing and Python to create visual art through code, has a background in Biology, and his work with both code and music is heavily influenced by an ongoing fascination with emergent complexity within ecosystems. Each of his pieces is a captured moment in time, with the goal of creating beauty through simple shapes, color, code, and controlled randomness. A guitarist and electronic music artist, his current solo project is called Evernia and releases on the Ephemera House label.
Meg Mulhearn creates the video and craft work for Ephemera House. Meg has a keen curiosity about the interaction of humans and technology, and uses substantial source material from the natural world in her work. Her composing practice is also multi-faceted, and as a synthesist and violinist, she uses both instruments to explore music as an intentional movement of energy through experimental electro-acoustic realms. As a performer and composer she has been involved in many releases and projects as a solo artist, band member, and collaborator. More information about Meg can be found at megsounds.com.
Our musical project together is called Lunar Creature, and it is an evolving experiment of heavy textures, guitar, strings, and synths. Our music is released under the label wing of Ephemera House.
